Group H (Saad Khan, Andrew Whitacre, Kevin Ramsey, Jason Colles)

Engineering 183 Section 4B

All four members were present. The meeting was to be in the Science and Engineering Library but was moved to 112 Caldwell Lab due to crowd in the library.

Team members Whitacre, Ramsey, and Colles reported on their findings investigating the spreadsheet over the weekend.

Team member Khan reported having made several preliminary sketches.

The roller coaster design was subsequently determined almost completely, including all dimensions, bank angles, placement of features, and overall layout. Team member Ramsey primarily worked the spreadsheet, producing velocities for each feature as they were determined. Several overall layout ideas were considered before finally selecting one that would both fit in the space provided and produce reasonable velocities into and out of all features.

Team member Khan began the process of tabulating all of the velocity values needed for inclusion in the table in the paper design.

Team members Whitacre and Colles kept track of the overall design and helped to calculate distances and bank angles.

The meeting lasted approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
